The courtyard design is based around a series of 450mm high raised green areas formed from red brick and the planters are arranged to allow easy access for emergency vehicles. Two compact, multi-stem, specimen shrubs are planted for the two smaller islands and a series of 6 espalier trees for training along the existing wall. To add interest and to break up the large area, two contrasting materials were used to create interconnecting paths throughout the yard. 

The brief was to create a large patio area leading out from the house for outdoor entertaining with a raised flower bed and build a path for access to the building and Green house to the rear of the garden. 

The brief was to create an outdoor space that incorporated a terrace that was easily maintained complimented with a newly laid laid. Year round flowers and plants bordering the garden were used to soften the look of the block wall surrounding the garden. To complete the ornate patio design Daithi built a raised flower bed complimenting the colours of the paving stones and completed it with seasonal bedding plants and flowers.
